This Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler recipe is not only extremely easy to make from scratch, but it’s made with fresh or canned peaches so you can enjoy it year round! This is one of my mom’s favorite family recipes, and while I’m biased, I think it’s the best of the best!
Peach season is pretty much the best time of year, isn’t it! I love going to U-pick farms or buying a large box from a local vendor. Peaches are one of those things I can never get enough of! I have too many favorite peach recipes that I rotate each season, starting with my favorite homemade peach jam.
This peach cobbler recipe comes from my mom, and it’s a favorite family recipe she used to make for us all the time growing up! The best part about this recipe is that it literally takes 5 minutes to make! My mom often used a jar of homemade canned peaches, but you can also use fresh peaches!
To make this recipe, you will need the following ingredients:
You will need:
1 large drained can of sliced peaches.
1 cup of Bisquick mix
1 cup of milk.
½ teaspoon nutmeg.
½ teaspoon cinnamon.
½ cup melted butter.
1 cup sugar.
Vanilla ice cream (optional).
How to make:
Mix the Bisquick mix, milk, nutmeg and cinnamon in an 8×8 baking dish until well combined then stir in the melted butter.
In a bowl, mix together the sugar and peaches, then pour over the crust.
In a preheated 375° oven, bake for 45-60 minutes.
Top with vanilla ice cream before serving.

Yes, the recipe will not produce the crust in the picture. Deceiving photo!
Picture is old fashioned cobbler. Recipe has you dump in (basically a cake batter) batter on bottom. Cake like dough bakes up through fruit. Good but not old fashioned. Use pie crust on top of fruit instead.

The really old fashioned one is any kind of canned fruit you want 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk. 1 stick butter in 9/13 pan melt butter , pour fruit on top of that. Mix dry ingredients and milk pour batter over fruit. You can use fresh frozen or canned. Been making it 50 yrs or more
