I have made this many times. Everyone loves it. The only change I make is I add an additional 2 cans kidney beans in chili sauce and the tomatoes are the chili ready diced tomatoes. Freezes great. This is the best chili recipe I have tried.
This recipe is REALLY good! Chili can go in a lot of different directions but this is just an all around great tomato emphasized chili.
This is such good chili. As is it tastes just like Wendy’s. What I like about this recipe is that you can use it as a base if you want a little more kick or don’t have the exact same ingredients available. I used fire roasted diced tomatoes once as that’s what I had, black beans instead of pinto, diced red pepper instead of green. Corn bread or baked potato on the side is great! Thank you for sharing!
Decided at the last minute to make chili. Never made it before…husband always does. I love Wendy’s chili and I came across this. LOVE IT! I didn’t have a green pepper but I had everything else. Thanks for making my first time a home run!!!
