Old Fashioned Fudge

Old Fashioned Chocolate Fudge, this is the best, creamiest chocolate fudge, made the old fashion way. The perfect homemade chocolate candy.

I’ve been a big fan of candy for a long time, especially anything chocolate, like these easy homemade filled chocolates or these Italian Chocolate Kisses/Baci.

Old fashioned chocolate fudge is everything a homemade fudge should be, so get your candy thermometer ready.

I searched and searched for the chocolate fudge I tasted when I was 8 or 10 years old, if you can believe it! That fudge would melt in your mouth and be just a little crumbly.

Ingredients

2 cups of sugar
4 tablespoons Hershey’s cocoa
1 stick of salted butter
5 ounce can of Carnation Evaporated Milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
nuts are optional

Directions

Combine the sugar and cocoa in a saucepan, then add a stick of butter and the can of evaporated milk, and stir until the mixture begins to boil.
Stir continuously for 7 minutes, then remove from heat and add the vanilla, then stir the mixture continuously for 3 minutes, then pour into a buttered baking dish to set.
Great fudge in under 20 minutes!

Hershey’s Old Fashioned Fudge has always been my favorite, but it was so hard to get right.
Thanks for sharing a recipe that tastes just as good, but is so much easier! It was perfect the first time around!
